Nicole's Craft Tip of the Day

If you are wanting a new look for your house try re-using some old furniture you were thinking of getting rid of and adding a new color of paint and new hardware! It's easy and a very cheap way to re-decorate!

fabric bows

One of my friends bought a couple of bows like this at a hair salon and we decided we wanted to try and make them ourselves.
You get cotton fabric any colors you want and some tulle. Cut them out in the shape you want...I have seen them in flower shapes, stars...basically whatever you want and are able to cut out...if you have a cricut then you can cut fabric with that as well. Cut out at least eight pieces of fabric so you can layer them back to back. Then to get a permanently stiff look or wrinkled look to the bow use a fabric stiffener, which can be found at most craft stores. Follow the directions on the stiffener and then once the fabric is dry use hot glue to layer the fabric.
For your final touch add a cute rhinestone or brad to the center for an embellishment!
